Out the door and into the wind

Creating images is my life… Okay, that’s an exaggeration but I have been making pictures for 87% of my life. And, I tend to find myself either creating images, thinking about creating images, reading about creating images or wanting to create images for probably 87% of my day.

Some of the main things that make this possible are my wonderful wife, the diversity and dynamics of the place I live, and of course the Internet.

Two sites that are providing inspiration at the moment are http://www.dpreview.com/challenges/ and http://www.jkost.com/. Julieanne Kost is is the "Digital Imaging Evangelist for Adobe Systems". She is an amazing visual artist and teacher for all things Adobe. A site I would recommend you spend hours learning from. The dpreview challenges site is a place where you can test your mettle (AKA creative spark and technical know how) in photographic mini-competitions with others like yourself. It is also a good way to see how other creatives perceive and solve the same visual question.
